Dearest students,

I hope you had a blasting holidays :D Time to check-in to school soon so here are some updates and administrative stuff you SHOULD read through before popping up on the first day.


  1. Attire: If you have coloured/tinted hair for the holidays, please rectify. We should only see black hair. Boys, please get a proper haircut unless you do wish to have a free haircut, courtesy of Mr Bay. Girls, please ensure that hair is clipped and tied neatly and your skirt should be of acceptable length. We also need to see your socks (they are not THAT SHY, please show them to us). Please be in PROPER FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM. Boys please bring your tie, it's TUESDAY! (thanks to nameless for pointing this out!)
  2. Please do remember to come early and scan your fingerprint on the biometric system. (I foresee a massive queue.)
  3. Bring your thermometers with you always. There will be temperature taking in week 1, so before all thermometers go out of stock, if you do not have one, buy one.
  4. Get ready the dates which you have been overseas during the holidays. We need to update your particulars and venues of travel (Do not 'errr...', 'eh...', 'I'm not sure..' when we come to you, unless you wish to sit on the parade square for the whole morning :( It will be freaking hot! 2e1 will be at the back of the parade square, come early to locate the exact location. )
  5. Subjects which you will be having on your first day are: Contact Time, PE (no need for PE attire because the lesson will be cut short due to contact time. If you feel paranoid, you may just wish to pack the attire into your bag), MT, English, Sci (book B), Contact Time, Assembly. Please bring the neccessary books/materials.
  6. FINISH YOUR HOMEWORK IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO!!!

Lastly, if you are quite free during this last week of holidays, perhaps you could come up with some class motto, classroom decoration design ideas or class-tee (if you want a new class tee) design :)

Housekeeping T3W1

Dear 1E1,

Some housekeeping for Monday/whole of next week to note:

  1. Mr Bay has already posted books that needs to be brought on Monday on the chatbox, if you cannot see (yes, some of you have problems noting certain stuff), here they are: Mass Run, LCD, Science, History, Home Econs/D & T, EL, MT. Do not wear your PE t-shirt and bottoms to school, please just pack them into your bag (because the first period might be used to settle some admin stuff).
  2. Please have your thermometer inside your bags everyday from Monday onwards. We will have a temperature taking exercise sometime next week, and this applies nationwide, meaning all schools in Singapore. Hence if you do not have/lost your thermometer, my advice is to purchase one over this weekend, before it goes out of stock and you need to go to the RTC to settle your temperature taking issues.
  3. Do remember to cut your hair/nails before Monday. Attire check will be done. Socks should be of the correct length. For girls, your skirts and hair should be up to my expectations.

Final Reminder - Science Homework Submission

Please submit your science holiday homework - Journalling, if you have not done so. I have extended the deadline to 20th June (sunday). There are currently only 29 submissions. I will not be giving anymore extension of deadline.

Note:
  1. Do not do multiple submissions. I will be deleting all the older versions and marking only the most recent one so do check that your newest submission is the correct one.
  2. Errors in submission name and format will result in the loss of marks. (how many times do I need to repeat this?! There are still people who are insist on doing it in the wrong format... You have until Sunday to rectify this.)
  3. If you know of friends who definitely have not submitted, do send them a gentle reminder :)
